Formal opening & On stage
The institute was inaugurated on 3 July 2005 by Prof. Thimmappa, Vice Chancellor, Bangalore University.

Walkathon
After the inauguration, the staff and students took a walkathon to create awareness on speech and hearing disabilities.
That July day laid the foundation for what Samvaad continues to do—train professionals, serve families, and speak openly about speech and hearing so that fewer people walk alone.
